In a competitive global environment,
organizations need to build a flexible and robust Information Systems
Infrastructure (ISI). However ISI should not be looked at only from the
technological perspective, but it should also include human as well as
organizational capabilities. The ISI architecture has evolved from mainframe
computing to client-server computing and now component-based internet
computing.
