1. An industry in a rural part of Gujarat, has employed a total of 500 workers, which are spread over 3 units. The workers have faced different labour problems at various occasions. There is a manager who supervises the work carried in these 3 units. The employers travel to the industry once in 4-6 months. The employees find it difficult to meet the management. The manager also is incapable to effectively communicate the problems of the employees. The manager suggested that the employees to start a trade union and register it. The employees agree with the suggestion but are not convinced to register the union.
